Roscoe buller och tumult (filk)
Nov. 12th, 2014 10:58 amRealised I hadn't posted this one here earlier. It's the second song I wrote as a "real" filker (Lingonberry Bones and Opp och hoppa Thor are older, but I didn't consider myself a filker at the time).
Like Stolta fans it's based on a song by Carl Michael Bellman, in this case Fredmans sång number 21 (YouTube), usually known by its opening line "Så lunka vi så småningom" or as "Måltidssång". It also takes Bellman's lyrics and changes the context from Stockholm of the 18th century to Swedish fandom of the 21th.
It partly takes the form of a premature con report (ie one written before the con) from Confetti 2014, and as such it references the GoHs John Meaney and Caroline Jensen, but also references plenty of happenings in the history of Swedish fandom.
