Satelliter lär oss mera (Ovan där)
Nov. 29th, 2014 04:16 pmMost of my filks are what I dub "fan filks", ie filks about fans, fan history, and fan culture. Such songs are the bulk of Swedish filking, but I felt that I had started to exhaust that particular field for awhile.
Then, far too late at night, the phrase "Gubben Clarke fick en idé" (Old man Clarke got an idea) stuck in my head, and this was the result. I'm really happy with how i managed to weave the original text into the filk but give it a different meaning.
It's based on Ovan där, which is the Swedish translation of We'll Understand It Better By and By.
