Finished two more filks yesterday evening, more or less by accident. Both had simmered for a while—I had already the tunes and how I wanted to do them.

The first is "Stora rymdskepp", based on Blommig falukorv (YouTube) by Hans Alfredson, a very popular Swedish children's tune.

The other is entirely different. Back in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, pompous nationalistic songs were all the rage here, and several were also written for various provinces. "Marssången" goes to the tune of Smålandssången (also known as "Röd lyser stugan").

(Almost all of the province songs are all but forgotten today. The exception is the main inspiration of them all, Ack Värmeland du sköna. That one was filked a long time ago, I believe by David Nessle, and made to concern Jupiter.)
