While walking around in the local mall I discovered that OnOff had decent prices for the old iPod Nanos. So now I'm the owner of a black first-model 2GB Nano, just after I've "quit" as a mailman (and actually would have real use out of it).

However, I must say that iTunes isn't particularly smart with its handling of iPods that are smaller in capacity than the size of the music library. It immediately started to fill it up to capacity. Then, when I told it to transfer the songs I wanted, playlists weren't transferred, even though songs in them were, until you tell it to transfer just that particular playlist.

Also, the new clickwheel isn't as precise and friendly as the old mechanical one (I borrowed a 1G iPod from [livejournal.com profile] awahlbom for quite some time), but that might be a matter of practice.

Otherwise: shiny!
