AKICILJ: IMAP clients
Nov. 18th, 2008 11:48 amI've spent some time trying to get Thunderbird to behave, but it simply has too many misbehaviours (eg not realising that different folders need to be able to show different columns of information) - and it's not like I lack experience with e-mail programs.
So, what is the best program to use with a Gmail account using IMAP, and any really good tips for making it work?
I'm on a Vista SP1 machine.

When I set different columns or sort orders on a folder, they stick, for me.

Date: 2008-11-18 11:21 am (UTC)I don't need a column for sender in the sent mail folder(s), but I need to show the recipient. I don't need a column for the recipient in the mailboxes for incoming mail, but I need to show the sender. But I can't find any way for Thunderbird to have custom columns for different folders.
Also, Thunderbird refuses to filter mail that has been touched in Gmail (and probably also with another Gmail client). Bloody stupid.
