PDI/1 was an electromagnetic cannon, PDI/2 was a computer controlled spoon accelerator with automatic peanut feed and several possible courses of movement.
SAFA culminated with PDI/3, or LIPAC 1600/27, Linear Peanut Accelerator (it was 1600 mm:s long and had 27 coils), built in a single night at Atlas Copco's research department.
